For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Beautifully Restored 1944 Parker Emerald Pearl Celluloid Fountain Pen in the Major Size. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.

I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Gold Filled Blue Diamond Clip, Gold Filled Chevron Cap Banding (///\\\), and 14K NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished and Waxed the barrel, cap, and blind cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the material of fountain pen. This Parker Vacumatic is a major size that measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6" posted.

This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The cap has the split arrow gold filled diamond clip and is in perfect condition with no brassing. The chevron cap banding that is in excellent condition with no brassing. The top jewel is black and has been polished to bring back a gorgeous shine. The barrel is clearly and crisply stamped with, "Geo. S. Parker Vacumatic Made in U.S.A. with date code 4, for 1944, in the fourth quarter". The transparency of the barrel is very - it is clear with only mild ambering. The blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to the cap or barrel.

The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water about 7-8 presses to fill full. I have greased the filling unit so it operates smoothly and now operates flawlessly.

The Parker NIB is a 14K gold Split Arrow NIB. The actual writing portion of the 14K Parker NIB has a fine point measuring roughly .49mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with a fine to broad stroke. In the writing sample provided, the fine line measures at .45mm and the broad stroke measures 1.15mm when measured with digital calipers under medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.

Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.

This is a Vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen displays a lovely Emerald Pearl color with lovely bright gold filled trim. I grade this Parker Vac in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
